IF WE SOLVE ISSUES OF GEOLOGY, THIS IS 50% OF THE SUCCESS OF THE TOTAL PROJECT OF CREATING PZRO

Geology of places — this is one of the most important issues when creating RWDF. And it is very good that the leadership of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Hydrospetsgeology” understands this and we find support in these matters.

The working group of the Public Council for Public Relations in creating RWRA, on the recommendation of the First Deputy General Director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise «Hydrospetsgeologia» M. Glinsky, introduced a specialist geologist, which allows the working group to talk with representatives of the public and local administrations at a good professional level .

Today there are several priority objects — this is the planned RWDF in the town of Sosnovy Bor and a laboratory to study the possibility of disposal of HLW in Zheleznogorsk. For one and the second object there is information about the geological conditions of these sites, and it is presented, including to the public. But as practice shows, questions still remain. And here it is important that all questions have complete and convincing answers. So far we have not received these answers on the object in Zheleznogorsk. I hope that during the events that we plan to hold in this region, and first of all, at the regional forum, geologists will be able to provide the public with all the information.

In addition, it is very important for geologists to obtain explanations of the results of “alternative” geological studies, which at different times were carried out by specialists from various departments and enterprises, including foreign ones. No need to take a position — they do not understand anything in this, as we sometimes see from some geologists. Such a position is generally not accepted by the public. The discussion should be serious and fair, and the arguments of geologists are convincing. Only in this way can we satisfy the demands of the public and remove all the acute geological issues. If we solve questions of geology, then this is 50% of the success of the entire project for the creation of RWDP.
